This is why we, pretty quickly, decided to keep our shops open. You can still buy essential things for your horse and yourself, in the stores. According to the guidelines of the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), we must keep a distance of 1.5 metres (or in our equestrian languages,1 horse's length). Do not shake hands, pay better attention to personal hygiene, eat healthily and keep active. Exercise is not only healthy but also much needed.

It is important to keep your daily routine as much as possible. In this way, you keep yourself productive and healthy. Because you are currently at home and Social distancing is the word of the day, your daily dose of social contact is strongly minimized. By shutting yourself off from the outside world, lifeless thoughts can arise. Sports and exercise can help. While exercising, the extremely important substance dopamine is produced. Dopamine provides an uplifting and pleasant feeling and is therefore essential to counteract lifeless thoughts.

It's not only good for your mental health, but it's also very important in the fight against viruses. If you keep exercising intensively, the number of natural killers in the body increases. Natural killers are white blood cells that focus especially on infections and viruses. They separate certain substances from the virus, making it controllable and less harmful. So the more sports, the more your body is resistant to each virus.
Surely you can't go horse-riding if the stable or equestrian stable is temporarily closed. That's why we have

But how do we ensure that employees and customers remain safe? We have rubber gloves and paper towels available at all our stores to keep everything sterile. At the checkout, there are plastic screens so that employees and customers are protected against possible infections. Besides, parts of the floor contain tape with a reminder of keeping a distance. Our employees also regularly wash their hands with disinfection soap. At the entrance, there are posters with rules which everyone has to follow up. These rules are, of course, also respected by all our employees.
