Healthy extras

No worries though, we got you covered! Next to your standard treats, that make your horse feel like they've entered the candy shop and will never ever want to leave, we also stock some healthy extras. With those, you can give your horse some extra deliciousness on the days that he or she worked extra hard.

Healthy extras are also perfect for giving your horse something to do on days that you can't come to the stable or when your horse is on stall rest for example. They can help prevent or fight boredom by giving your horse something to munch on outside of the normal feeding times, while still being healthy.

A perfect example for healthy extra treats/feed that also help prevent boredom in the stable are the Vitamunch hay blocks from Equilibrium. These are essentially just hay pressed into blocks, which makes it a little harder for your horse to eat them and keeps them busy for longer. They fit perfectly into the Mini Haynet from our own brand and can be hung anywhere in the stable. As the name Vitamunch already suggests, these extra treats are very healthy and packed with various vitamins and other important nutrients. There's two version of the Vitamunch blocks available at Epplejeck - Hedgerow and Meadow. They are different in what exactly is in them - Hedgerow includes cleavers, hawthorne and rosehips, while Meadow has dandelions, red clover and nettles. Both super tasty, super yummy and surely absolutely loved by your horse!

Another healthy feeding extra we stock is the SummerFit biscuits by Pavo. These biscuits come in packs of 36 pieces, with 1 biscuit being recommended per day (or half a biscuit for ponies). And 1 biscuit really is enough for the day, as it's packed to the brim with all the minerals and nutrients needed for a horse in a day. Despite the name suggesting it only be suitable for the summer, it's actually great for all year round too. Though the main purpose of these biscuits is to provide a horse that is out grazing 24/7 in the summer with the needed nutrients that it might be missing due to not getting hard feed in the field. It can however be fed to all breeds all year around and is also especially great for horses that have been sick and are in need of more vitamins and nutrients.
