Are you really fed up with “vicious bloodsuckers” a.k.a horse flies! No worries, Sticky-trap will save the day or even better, your entire summer! The Sticky Trap Glue has been specially developed for catching horseflies, hornets and stable flies. In this blog you can read why you'll definitely need this amazing product this season!
The
Sticky Trap is originally from America and is used worldwide to catch various blood sucking insects, such as the horse-flies. The horsefly is an insect which uses blood to procreate and to make eggs. The female horsefly searches for her prey using infrared eyes and while she is flying, she is scanning the environment for heat sources. Everything which is warm and moves, in her eyes, contains blood and is a potential prey to bite. With a razor-sharp beak, she horsefly cuts open the skin and starts to drink the blood.
Use the Sticky Trap bucket to attract the horsefly in the first place.
The black plastic object warmed by sunlight, moving in the wind attracts the bloodthirsty female horsefly, by simulating her prey. The fly goes to bite her prey, but will land on the bucket and become stuck in the Sticky Trap Horse Fly Trap Glue.
The
Sticky Trap horsefly glue is rainproof and is effective up to 20 weeks. After these 20 weeks the new glue can be applied over the old one. For the longest lifespan, we advise to store the Sticky Trap glue trap in a dry and frost-free environment.
The horsefly trap catches insects in a natural way without using pesticides and because of this, it is a safe and reliable solution when taking care of horsefly plagues. Bees, butterflies and other important insects which take care of the dispersal of flora and fauna are looking for nectar and sweet things, so they are not attracted to the Sticky Trap. But there is of course always a chance that other type insect will accidentally end up on the glue.
Tip: Use a brush to apply the glue easily to any material. Hang the bucket upside down in an open area so it can move in the wind and get warm and attract the biting horsefly. The most convenient thing to do is to find a spot just outside of the field where your horses graze. Otherwise, your horse may run into it and the glue and horseflies will stick onto your horse. This doesn't do any harm, but is of course not very pleasant. Wearing gloves is also recommended, it is after all a Sticky Trap.
The bucket of glue is a cheap and rainproof solution that can be hung anywhere. It also tackles the problem of horseflies in a structural way because it only catches the female horsefly. So let's get sticky!
