The Roughage Quickscan from Pavo

The average daily ration of a horse consists of 70 to 100 per cent roughage. The energy, protein and sugar levels are very important factors in horse feed. Pavo has found a solution for this: the Pavo Roughage Quickscan. With this test, you can have your roughage tested for energy, protein, sugar levels and even dry matter content.
The analysis of the roughage is carried out by Eurofins Agro and you will receive the test results by e-mail within 5 working days. Test results indicate 3 levels of energy, protein and sugar content from 1 (very low) to 5 (very high). You will also find information for which type of horses these levels are suitable like for sports horses, senior horses, pregnant mares or horses prone to laminitis. It also shows if the levels are suitable for your own horse!
Thanks to the test results, you can adjust your horse's roughage ration or even buy a more suitable roughage for your horse. In addition to the test results, you will also receive feed advice to ensure that your horse will receive the best feed possible.
