Guestblog Ariat: ready for spring with Ariat

I don’t buy new riding clothes very often. So when I do, it’s very conscious and thought through: clothes that are comfortable, practical and look good. Not just buying for the sake of buying, but investing in good items that you’ll wear a lot and for a long time. I recently got a nice spring outfit from Ariat: pretty, practical and very comfy – must-haves in your wardrobe.

Ascent half chaps and jodhpur boots

I’ve already been a fan of the Ariat boots for years, but wow! These chaps and shoes are extremely comfortable! I actually think that the combination of jodhpur boots and half chaps is nicer than riding boots, especially for long trail rides. The chaps feel super comfy thanks to the material and the fit, and the unique design gives them a very sporty look. A reinforced panel on the inside provides support and grip, just like with your boots, but a bit more flexible and soft!

The perfect companion for the Ascent chaps are the jodhpur boots with the same name. These shoes look like a combination of sneaker and jodhpur boots, a very modern and cool design. They weigh very little and are highly flexible, and are super easy to put on and off. The top is made of fabric, making the shoes feel more like socks. It’s also great that the lower part of the shoe is made of water-repellent material and the extra thick sole makes you feel like you’re walking on clouds!

I’ve not worn jodhpur boots with chaps for a long while, but this combination is irresistible. Those two items are for sure becoming a fixed part of my trail ride outfit and will definitely be packed in my suitcase for the next weekend trip with the horses. My previous experience with riding footwear from Ariat was that they always last you for a long time, so I’m expecting the same thing now!

Riding tights Eos Full Grip and training shirt Auburn

These riding tights from Ariat are perfect for the summer thanks to the mesh fabric at the calves, which keeps you cool and breezy. The fabric is also equipped with Moisture Movement Technology which ensures that moisture is wicked away better and that you’re staying cool on warm days. The Core Control Technology provides a slim silhouette and supports your core.

I have these riding tights in both blue and black and I’m living in them all year around: in summer as riding tights and in winter as comfy home clothing on the sofa. So getting a second pair made sense to me and seemed like a good investment. The advantage of riding tights is also that they’re so stretchy and easy to move in. And, if you’re having troubles with seams running over your knees, causing friction and chafing: all of that’s not a problem with leggings!

The shirt has the same Moisture Movement Technology to keep you dry and cool. The shoulders have perforated inserts for ventilation, which also adds a nice, stylish touch to the design. The shirt is also decorated with a few different logos, like a little logo on the standing collar and text print on the triangle part on the back. Because the blue shirt colour is exactly the same shade as the riding tights, you’re getting a really pretty and stylish set with both of the pieces together!
