Which Bucas autumn blanket will you welcome autumn with?

The swirling leaves, the shallow puddles in the yard and warming your hands over a steaming cup of tea in the canteen: autumn has its own charm in the stable. But for your horse, these new weather conditions can take some getting used to. A blanket can then be a fine solution. With these Bucas blankets, you and your horse will welcome autumn in the best possible way.

Therapy Turnout Light

The showpiece of the fall collection: the Bucas Therapy Turnout Light, a strong outdoor rug that provides smoother muscles, a relaxed horse and helps prevent injuries and swelling. This is due to the use of the unique therapeutic fabric, which ensures that the magnetic fields - which the horse naturally creates ¬- are captured and reflected back. This stimulates the blood circulation, which provides all the aforementioned benefits. This blanket provides the horse with excellent protection in all weather conditions with temperatures ranging from 0 to +14 degrees.

Atlantic Turnout 50g

The Bucas Atlantic Turnout 50g matches the Therapy Turnout Light in many characteristics. Both blankets are wind and waterproof, are made of the strong ballistic nylon fabric, have the same comfortable fit and have a dermo-care lining. The dermo-care lining allows for faster absorption of moisture. This allows both the Therapy Turnout Light and the Atlantic Turnout 50g to be placed on a horse with a wet coat. The Atlantic Turnout 50g protects your horse at temperatures ranging from 0 to +12 degrees.
Small note: the filling (the number of grams) alone does not give an accurate indication for choosing a blanket. Lining, outer fabric and fabric color also play a role in determining temperature ranges. For this reason, all Bucas blankets have been assigned a temperature range. Within these temperature ranges, your horse can wear the blanket safely and comfortably.

Smartex Rain

Does the above blanket appeal to you, but would you prefer a blanket with stay-dry lining? Then the Bucas Smartex Rain may be a better fit for your horse. The Smartex Rain has the same unique features as the Atlantic Turnout 50g, but instead of the dermo-care lining, it has a stay-dry lining. This lining feels like a soft fleece fabric and is able to absorb moisture at lightning speed. The blanket can be worn at temperatures ranging from 0 to +14 degrees.

Irish Turnout Light

High wearing comfort and trusted Bucas quality characterize the affordable Bucas Irish Turnout Light. Suitable for temperatures ranging from +5 to +12 degrees, this autumn rug is perfect for those drizzly autumn days when your horse could use some extra support. The 1200 denier ripstop fabric reduces the chance of tearing through. This is due to the special weaving technique used with this fabric.

Freedom Turnout Light

The Bucas Freedom Turnout Light is a fine basic for the (warmer) autumn days. This rug is wind and waterproof and protects the horse in temperatures ranging from +8 to +14 degrees. The Freedom collection comes in new, surprising colors every summer and winter season and is available in Classic and Full Neck models. The latter has a fixed neck that offers the horse extra protection in rainy weather conditions.

All of the above blankets (except the Bucas Freedom collection) offer the option of adding an underblanket and neck piece (aka: a Combi Neck). With an underblanket you increase the temperature range. As a result, you offer the horse extra insulation, which can be advisable on cooler days or as winter approaches.

*The temperature ranges are an advice and will help you arrive at the right blanket choice. There are a number of factors that may cause the advice to vary, namely; shearing, humidity, condition, age and extreme weather conditions. Please take this into account when purchasing a Bucas blanket.
