Guest blog Pump & Paarden: New in my locker; Transport & Stable boots with removable lining.
My mare Arwen has recently taken swimming lessons; every week she goes to the aquatrainer to become even stronger. This also means that we go out every week with the trailer and that's why I wanted to have good transport protectors. I have chosen the 'Transport & Stal Boots' of Epplejeck and in this blog I will tell you why!
What: Transport & Stable Boots
Where to buy: At Epplejeck -

Product specifications according to the website:
- Provides optimal protection
- Made of neoprene
- Soft, polyester lining
- Lining is removable and washable
- With velcro closure
- Per set of 4 pieces (front and hind)
Why I chose these protectors:
The biggest advantage of these protectors to me, is the detachable lining. The lining is attached to the neoprene outside by velcro and is therefore easy to remove. My horse poops quite a lot on the trailer (she still finds travelling a bit exciting), so the protectors can get dirty pretty quick. Also her legs are of course still a bit wet/moist after aquatraining, which causes the inside to become dingy soon. It's super practical that you can easily wash the lining! After washing, the boots looked totally fresh again.
Another reason why I chose these protectors, is the price. They cost €59.95, which is not a lot of money compared to other luxury protectors. Epplejeck still has one cheaper variant of transport guards, but they are very basic and also quite thin, in my opinion. For the Bucas transport protectors you pay €109,95 and the Eskadron transport guards cost €79,95, the Epplejeck ones are in comparison still budget proof.
